STARS was founded in 2000 by a group of parents and teachers to provide effective early intervention for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or related conditions aiming to help them gain academic, social and life skills.

Stars provides a Saturday play group as a two week summer scheme based in Crossroads Primary School, Kilrea.

STARS- Striving To Achieve Real Success

STARS Autism Project is a registered charity, operated as a company limited by guarantee. We are affiliated to the QUART Centre Initiative at Queen’s University Belfast. The Directors of STARS are parents and teachers who live or work with children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Our aim is to support children who have an ASD or a related condition, by commissioning activities based on Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), and also providing training and social activities for parents and other family members.

Currently we base our activities at Crossroads Primary School, Kilrea, Co. Derry, with the generous support of the Board of Governors and the Friends of Crossroads. Over the next few months we hope to develop a programme of events and activities, which we will post on our website.
